Housekeeping - unverified email addresses being deleted

A lot of people who sign up for the site never get round to confirming their email address. We've decided to make this mandatory in future, as there have been quite a few spam sign-ups recently.

Basically this means that if we're not sure you're a real person with a real email address, we'll send you a verification email next Monday, then delete your profile if you don't respond within 24 hours.

You can also check if you're verified right now by logging in. If 'create content' doesn't appear in the left hand menu, then you need to verify. To do this go to my account / edit and select the option to resend the verification email, or just wait for us to do it.

Around fifty subscriptions were removed on Tuesday 21st April. If your subscription was affected, you will no longer receive newsletters, and will need to rejoin the site. And remember to verify your email address!
