Anne Angell announced as Head of Operations at Holt’s Academy

Following a successful career as Director of Operations for Kennedy Scott Ltd, Anne Angell has recently been appointed as Head of Operations for Holt’s Academy based in central London.

Holt’s Academy has an ambitious strategy of innovation and diversification from their core business at the centre of the UK Jewellery trade which Anne will be implementing with the Academy team. Anne will be working with the CEO of the Holts Group of Companies, Jason Holt to drive the agenda forward for the technical and craft apprenticeship progression to degree level in the UK and internationally. Anne will also be leading Holt’s enhanced employability strategy for career progression and self –employment. Holt’s support some of the most deprived community groups in London with programmes that help unemployed people return to work and to enter trades with a technical, retail or craft qualification.

Jason Holt, has been named as the Small Business Apprenticeship Ambassador, a new role appointed by the former Minister of State for Skills and Enterprise, Matthew Hancock

Jason is also the author of the Government Review on ‘Making Apprenticeships More Accessible to SMEs’. Ministers are in the process of implementing the agreed recommendations.

The Academy, established in 1999 is a not for profit organization working towards raising the profile of technical and craft apprenticeships in England. Holt’s piloted the Government’s ‘trailblazer’ initiative with bestpractice on how to engage with SMEs and improve the overall quality and scope of apprenticeship schemes.
