No JCP staff to be transferred to providers!
by Daniel on 9 May, 2008 in
The DWP has informed New Deal staff and union officials that no staff will be transferred to providers as part of the flexible New Deal contracting. The PCS union has an article here - http://www.pcs.org.uk/Templates/Internal.asp?NodeID=920198

I've spoken to several JCP NDPA's. They seem to view this as the best outcome for both 'sides'.
For JCP staff, they have the certainty of their job, pension, etc, even though they may be in a different role (perhaps as mainstream advisers or Lone Parent advisers). For the providers, they would have at least one element of TUPE removed and not be forced to take on an unknown quantity.
