Welfare to Work 2011
The aim of the latest Welfare Reform Bill is to make the benefits and tax credit systems fairer and simple. It will deliver this by:
• Creating the right incentives to get more people into work
• Protecting the most vulnerable in society.
• Delivering fairness to those paying benefit, and the taxpayer.
This opportunity for key stakeholders to come together and examine this crucial agenda could not be better timed.
Key government and departmental leads responsible for change; frontline staff responsible for delivery; the voluntary charity sector and training providers: all these groups are required to support and encourage change, and there is no other event this year that will provide complete insight to the agenda covering all these angles.
By the end of the day you will:
• Understand Universal Credit and the implications it poses.
• Know how to locate and manipulate the revised funding streams.
• Complete your overview on service delivery, and the partners involved.
• Understand the mechanisms for reform, and the means to success.
• Take part in debate and best practise seminars designed to offer clarity.
• Interact across sectors in the discussion of reform.
