Transitioning to the private sector - the self employment option

The anticipated cuts in the funding of careers/personal adviser posts in Local Authorities have already started to impact on CEIAG practitioners. With talk of services in the youth sector being devolved to schools and the political ambition being to increase the size of the private sector, a serious option for advisers worried about their own career and financial futures is to consider self employment.

Responding to the concerns of our members, the ICG is organising two one-day workshops which will focus on transitioning to the private sector. Run by members of the ICG, these events will offer a mix of plenary delivery, group sessions and action planning and promise to get you enthused about starting out on your own.
