Supporting transitions into training and work for clients with learning difficulties and disabilities

Supporting clients with disabilities and learning differences requires good communication and practitioner adaptability. This event will explore what this actually means and consider tools, resources and techniques for supporting communication.

Aimed at anyone in Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance who wants to develop their knowledge and skills in working with clients with disabilities or learning differences.

The day will be highly practical and participants will:

. Learn of approaches to work with clients with disabilities or learning differences
. Gain an understanding of the issues clients experience when making the transition from education to work
. Get the results of up-to-date research into the employability related experiences of people with special needs
. Share information and experience.
