Uncertainty in the North East

I work for one of the companies that won the bid to deliver in tees valley in the north east and have been kept relatively well informed by our hr about changes that will be made but rumours have just been confirmed that because tupe applies to the companies that lost their bids, that our jobs are now unsafe too. We currently have a team of around 65 advisors and the allocation (and cost cutting too) means we will only need a maximum of about 80 advisors. Not enough jobs for us AND the tupe people .Obviously this worries me because we will now have to do assessments and risk losing our jobs.
Also, hr say this is all due to start on the week starting 13th June when lots of my colleagues have holidays booked and they are worried that not being able to attend assement means they will be treated unfairly.
Another rumour, that HASNT been confirmed (so please don’t take this as word) is that all the tupe staff have / will be given redundancy notice. I wonder if we will be too otherwise it is unfair under tupe rules? Can anyone confirm this?

Assessments based on what exactly? They will only be fair if competence based anyway.

Will keep adding to threads to increase awareness and gain maximum coverage on the site.

Apologies to those who have allready responded.

Sorry guys, if you are not high performers then the chances are the company will deselect you and replace with someone who has a track record of getting people into work.

I know lots of people wont want to hear this but the facts are that companies cannot afford to carry any dead wood into such a financially challenging programme.

Noone will actually say this but believe me this will happen
