Support Contracts

Has anyone had any news or updates on the outcome of the PQQ yet??

Update 25/9 - Current discussion is over at this article. Please go there to comment further.

I imagine it'll bubble up fairly quickly once it is released. I'll put the results on the front page and publish them in the newswire as well.

Thanks Daniel. Started wondering about this & the ESF PQQ decisions.

Well we've just been told we are unsuccessful. does anyone know who has made it through the PQQ??

Are the results coming out via E-mail or post??

One unsuccessful appliant got their letter in the post this morning

We got ours in the post this morning, they said there would be an announcement on the DWP website today, nothing as yer though!

Anyone successful yet?? I keep looking on the DWP website, but I can't see anything - will it be a press release?

We received a letter also. Unsuccessful. The letter actually states the list of preferred bidders will be posted on the dwp website week commencing 15th June. I would imagine it will be tomorrow to allow for everyone to receive their letters

It'll be interesting to see if the results are posted to coincide with Yvette Cooper's address to the welfare-to-work convention tomorrow. That's when the FND2 opportunities are coming out, so the logical thing would be to wrap the whole lot up as a press release. Unrelatedly, I should be fully online tonight, and will post self-employment figures then.

It's been suggested to me that none of the 3rd sector SPVs are through to the second stage. At face value it has the prospect to be mildly embarrassing given DWP commissioned a consultant to support them through the process.

My source also reckons there are some not prepared to take this lying down. Suggestions include some of the SPV project managers feel they have been deceived ("materially misled" one of the project managers is alleged to have said) into thinking DWP would consider contracting with them & that the support the department provided was purely to take some of the heat out of the Commissioning Strategy review.

Sour grapes or genuine axe to grind, who can say? They could have got it badly wrong or they have in fact had their time wasted taking part in a departmental PR (political relations!) stunt.

I guess i'm looking for a new job. yay me.

Oh come on government quangos have been promising to do real business with the third sector (grass roots) for years. The reality is, they will simply not take the risk unless the 3rd sec org is huge like some of the better known 3rd sector organisations already in the game. But of course DWP and other Government quangos are not the only guilty party here. All (without exception) of the big players have ripped the P*** out of 3rd sector orgs for years. Using their premises and resources for free, partnering up with them in pre bid stage and giving thme nothing once the cash comes in.
The truth of the matter is that many 3rd sector orgs simply allow this to happen time and time again. its time to stand up to the big boys and say NO NO NO we will not support yours or anyone elses bid you can not use our premises, we will not give you access to our customers, and we will not give you all that valuable information about local trends and oh we will be writing to DWP to inform them that if any org has us in their bid then their not telling the truth and should be removed from the process. Come on Third sector wake up because its time to do it your self and tell the primes to go spin. Oh and get a voice like cvs and RDCs if they are big enough and tell the government to shape up too. God did i just get that off my chest???

Does anyone have any idea if they have started to release the results for the contract awards for the Support contracts.

Does anyone have any idea when the PQQ results will be issued for FND Phase 2?

DWP ESF will be released on Monday...

Working Links have won big area in Wales that they already have FND in sure this was not supposed to happen
