Women Like Us launches free helpdesk to London employers for part time and flexible working

The CDIP has supported Women Like Us in launching a helpdesk for London employers to seek advice on flexible and part time jobs. Advice will be provided over the phone and will be free and impartial. Free e-packs will be sent to employers contacting the helpdesk on how to successfully create flexible and part time roles.

A survey by Women Like Us had found that of 329 employers in London, a third wanted to recruit more part-time staff but may not know how to structure a part-time job.

The helpdesk will offer advice on:

• Whether they need part-time, flexible roles for business
• How it may work
• Creating a job description
• Payment and setting holidays
• Integrating a a part-time, flexible role in the team
• Managing flexible employees
