Alderwood recently hosted a roundtable discussion on the topic of bringing the employability/welfare to work and skills/work based learning sectors closer together. Delegates included leading figures from organisations within both sectors and relevant industry bodies. A number of interesting issues arose and we now need the opinion of all those working within these critical industries in order to compile a case on whether enough is being done to link these two sectors, in order to ultimately ensure that the right skills are being delivered to reduce unemployment.
