Significant jobchange - SERCO loses top talent to G4S
Sean Williams announced today that he is quitting SERCO. He has been appointed as Managing Director of the Welfare-to-Work operation established by G4S.
Sean has been the Development Director for SERCO Welfare to Work over the past two years and and has steered its succesful FND bids. He sent a message to friends and colleagues today saying that "Serco has been a wonderful company to work for. I am immensely proud of what we have achieved in welfare-to-work over the past two years, not least in designing, winning and successfully implementing three Flexible New Deal contracts from a standing start." He admits that "only a truly remarkable opportunity in a hugely exciting organisation could have tempted me away from Serco."
His new job with G4S (the company better known by its former name Group 4 Security) means he will be managing another standing start operation. G4S has been shortlisted in 5 of the FND2 bidding areas - Northumbria, Merseyside, Olympic Host Boroughs, North and North East London, West London.
