Provider and contracts database - help needed!
Submitted by Daniel on Thu, 25/09/2008 - 3:20pm
We've just launched a database of providers and contracts, covering all the contract information that the DWP have published on their website. However, that still leaves a fair bit of information that's missing or outdated. Contract values, their running dates, and any information whatever about Employment Zones and PSL contracts are all missing.
Collectively, the provider community already has all this information. Wouldn't it be great if everyone could just share one or two bits they do know? Before we know it, all the information would be available to everyone, and everyone's life would get that little bit easier when it came to figuring out who's doing what where.

I have joined the site this evening and am chuffed to find it here. So eagerly I went in search for what might happen to P2W clients when the fND comes in. I can't find anything at all about the Progress 2 Work contract on this site - or am I looking in the wrong place?
Hi P2W,
The DWP have no contracts information about Progress 2 Work on their site, and the current database here is a collation of the official DWP announcements.
I have a second database that is the official DWP contracts database. It's possibly the worst spreadsheet I've ever dealt with - every column has frequent missing data, very few things are referred to in the same way twice, and I've had to ignore a bunch of records that don't even state the name or delivery area of the contract. Furthermore, none of the contracts have end dates. I've spent a long time cleaning it up and filling in the gaps, and it's about ready to upload. However, it's not complete - as far as I can tell the DWP does not have a clean, informative database of its own welfare-to-work contracts. Seriously.
I'll e-mail you the spreadsheet in its present state, but hopefully the website database will be updated in the next few days. Thanks for poking me on this - it's good to know that people find this stuff useful.
Hi
Can I get a copy of that spreadsheet also. Ive had a nightmare trying to find a central source anywhere in JCP or DWP that has this info
Thanks
Hi Anonymous,
I promise I'll be putting it up on the website this
Fridayweekend! I've been poking around the information too long to just leave it lying there.
