Budgeting

I've looked at the budget you put together for the new programmes. Was wondering, do subcontractors need to put something as detailed together?

Not precisely, no. You'll need to know the cost of the service you're going to provide, and agree approximate volumes with the prime contractor. If you know what proportion of the target group would benefit from your services, and what impact your services would have on job entry, then you'd potentially make marketing yourself a lot easier. And remember, the JSA client group is going to change significantly:
If you need to figure out how many JSA claimants would have need of your services, get in touch and we can do some analysis. The prime contractors will obviously be doing their own analysis along the same lines though, so all is not lost if you don't put one together.

Everyone in life is lazy so make it easy for them...
1. A clear step-by-step process for what you will do with a claimant
2. Volumes you can work with, conversion rates and prices
3. Resources that will be involved and premises
Any decent prime contractor should be checking your organisations financial capability, so don't bite off more than you can chew.
Agreed! Thanks for the advice. Also, be aware that mass mailing prime contractors might get you on their list of people to look at, but if you're not specific about where you operate up front then you may never reach the bidder handling your area.
