PEP

Can anyone tell me if the primes have been shortlisted yet for PEP?

I never seem to be able to find anything I am looking for on Supplying DWP. Is it me? The only way I know the ESF 2 results is from primes - I still can't find them on the DWP website! If you click on the ESF link, the most recent notification is of who was shortlisted at the PQQ stage, but there is nothing about who actually won the contracts.

It's not just you. That's one of the reasons that this site republishes a lot of DWP stuff. I'm afraid there's nothing to republish about PEP though - it's barely even mentioned on the DWP site right now.

I thought that PEP had been postponed. Not sure where I heard that rumour but I think they just put aside the areas for the pilot and are letting it gather dust. Don't quote me as I can't remember who told me that ... could be a total lie! :)

Anyone for BoND?

that would be FND...

I remember writing an article about BoND back in the day. Not for this website, I hasten to add. The totally modular approach with JCP advisers at the centre seems vaguely reminiscent of the JCP Support Contracts design. I'm happy they went with FND, but gosh there was a lot of faff!

I still stand by the theory that BoND could have been fantastic - provided they had kept the IAG module. Imagine a suite of focussed interventions, each addressing a specific need & with an objective IAG provider identifying customer barriers & directing them to the relevant modules in a timely & accurate manner.

Sadly, when they ditched that very module, it then would have led to JCP advisers deciding the modules, and history suggests that accuracy of referral would have gone out of the window.

But oh, what a lovely world it could have been! Customers only accessing relevant services, DWP only paying for what their customers need & providers being paid according to the service that they provide - as opposed to them all clambering for the same job outcome to get their ORF element.

And if the rumour that Steph heard is true, I feel sorry for my old stomping ground of North London...... A BoND pilot district until it faded into oblivion & now possibly the same for PEP????????

What the hell were DWP playing at advertising PEP EOIs in the Evening Standard (London)on Tuesday 24th November with a return date of the 27th November? I know the EOIs were not exactly difficult but nevertheless I think four days notice is somewhat tight! I only actually saw it at all because I happened to be peering over the shoulder of a bloke on the tube who had it open at the Business Pages. Hardly a great reflection of DWP's ability to advertise their tendering opportunities is it?

Or was it a deliberate ploy.......?

P.S. Bigbaldbloke, if we've had a few conversations on the mobile recently about Future Jobs Fund then I think I've sussed who you are!

Damn, there goes my cunning disguise then. I didn't think that anybody would figure out that it's me!

Kev

I was right!

There are still going to be some people out there wondering if a big bald bloke called Kev actually exists. Me, I'm in the dark on Raven and Hayforhee. It seems even running the site can't resolve the mysteries of pseudonymous commenting.

Gosh, I'm an enigma! What fun.

Seriously, was it only me that was frothing at the short turnaround on PEP? No-one else seems remotely bothered and I'm wondering if maybe it's just me being a bit mad.

Maybe everyone's assuming it'll be cancelled anyway? Or maybe they're all too busy with other tenders to worry too much about missing one? It's even possible (although unlikely) that they all caught it in time.

Any news yet on PEP? As usual, nothing on DWP website!

What specifically? The PQQ went in last week.

Just wondering when the PEP PQQ results will be announced.

Don't think that's for at least a couple of months.

I find it difficult to find stuff on the DWP site to.
