New SFA ITTs
Submitted by Subby on Tue, 13/12/2011 - 6:42pm
I work for a voluntary sector organisation that is not registered on the SFA's ACTOR system. Sorry if I'm being dumb, but how can I access the invitations to tender put out by the SFA? Also, how can I find out which providers have been invited to tender. I can never find anything on the SFA website and they won't talk to anyone who is not on ACTOR.
At present, the only way I know about new SFA ITTs is if a prime contractor gets in touch to ask for an expression of interest. It would be helpful to see the ITTs to tailor our proposals accordingly.
Am I alone in this? Can anyone help me?
Thanks

Subby, you should encourage your organisation to register on ACTOR. ACTOR sends out ITTs only to pre-qualified organisations who have indicated they can meet relevant MCL. ACTOR is still frozen for new applicants but is undergoing changes and is rebranding in the new year so there may be opportunities then.
Perhaps someone can confirm if these are also posted on Contracts Finder (part of business link) might be worth a look.
ACTOR automatically invited providers who submitted an adult single skills budget application.

If the link doesnt work (sorry not very IT proficient) you will find it on the skills funding agency website. Look for the ACTOR tab on the right
Thank you - we did try to register on ACTOR last time round, but failed. We'll try again once ACTOR opens up again, although am I right in thinking that the minimum contract values are going to go up significantly?
Not sure about the MCL, sfa did say it was going to rise incrementally until it hit 2million, but they seem to have blurred their stance. The 500,000.00 bar is here to stay thats for sure.
ACTOR, or rather the Register for Training Organisations as it is now called now is back up for business. see extracted auto-message below from bravosolutions
"The Skills Funding Agency has just published the Due Diligence Assurance Gateway Questionnaire for the above
Please access this from PQQs Open to all Suppliers on the e-tendering portal
You should download the Read Me First and Quick Reference Support Guide documents attached to the online Questionnaire which contain essential information to assist with completing the online Questionnaire
Once you have read these you can decide if you wish to complete it and if so ensure you submit your response before 17:00 on 17 February 2012
Please note, unlike on previous occasions, if you are a subcontractor with an aggregate value of subcontracts of £500,000 or more you will have to complete this online Questionnaire and submit a response"
Thanks for the heads up smurf! We will submit a PQQ and hopefully will be allowed in to the weird and wonderful world of the SFA.
According to update 101,there have been more than planned for applicants to the Register. Feedback to providers now due 04 April 2012, with the Register published 06 April 2012.
Thanks Smurf - we're finally on!
Great news. Welcome to the mad house!
