Getting clients directly via JCP

Our organisation delivers a back to work programme via a major contractor on the New Deal programme, I would like to find out if its possible to get clients referred directly from the Job Centre?

We work closely with the Job Centres where the clients originally get referred from to the contractor and then onto us.

I have had ex clients advise me that they have been referred directly to other providers from the Job centre without having to go through the contractor, how us this possible? how would I go about getting clients directly from JCP?

Any info/assistance is appreciated.

Set up a meeting with the Local Partnership Manager (JC+), if this is a mandatory programme, if it is New Deal then as a sub contractor - you should have the referral process explained in the terms and conditions - ask your line manager/business development manager for further info.

As an extra piece of information - as one who used to work for a provider who did get referrals direct from JCP, when you have the agreement set up, have a very clear set of referral criteria in place otherwise you will get every Tom,Dick and Harriet and not necessarily the right clients for your programme. I speak from experience.
